The Sandwich Generation happens when you find yourself caring for your children and your parents, simultaneously.
This blog is reflection of my adventure as a single parent who manages a toddler, a grade schooler, a high school senior and two elderly parents.
It is a large sandwich.
Each day presents a new set of challenges. I am transitioning between multiple stages of life, on a daily basis.
One week, baby cuts her first tooth, her brother begins first grade, my first born takes the SAT and one parent admits to the nursing home.
The other parent receives unsettling news, that he may have cancer.
In the midst of this chaos, that is my life, I try to maintain my sanity by looking at things from a real, but optimistic perspective.
I hope this blog will give others the support they need to get up every day and do what they do…
Make my sandwich with everything!
